GO ON × Panasonic Design

Outline

What does a “better life in the future” truly mean?
In response to this question, GO ON initiated a collaborative project with the Design Center of Panasonic Appliances Company, addressing the accelerating diversity of contemporary society.

GO ON inherits centuries of Japanese craftsmanship—
not merely as techniques, but as practices that quietly awaken human sensibility, memory, and emotion.
This project brings those philosophies into the realm of home appliances, a field long defined by comfort and convenience.

Rather than stopping at functionality, we explore what lies beyond it.
What new values can emerge when traditional craft encounters advanced technology?
How might our daily lives change when products begin to speak to our senses, not only our needs?

Launched in 2016, the project has produced a series of prototypes that fuse traditional materials and craftsmanship with modern technology—objects designed to resonate with human memory and the five senses.

In April 2017, GO ON presented this work at Salone del Mobile Milano under the concept “Electronics Meets Crafts:”
The project received the Best Storytelling Award at the Milano Design Awards 2017 and has since been recognized internationally.
